The ultrasound would have probably shown if you had an ectopic.  Also they look at your hcg levels and see how they are rising.  The signs of a miscarriage vary and sometimes there aren't any.  The best way to know what's going on is to go in and get checked out by your doctor.  If you have really really bad cramps along with bleeding then it would be good to get checked out.  Some women do bleed during pregnancy and they are just fine, but for others it could indicate a m/c.  Really it's just best to get blood work and ultrasounds to check for these things.

I would think it they would cause they could tell where the baby or sack wasnt  at they should be able to tell u
