spotting after miscarriage

i had a misscarriage four weeks ago i was 5 weeks pregnant. i bled for two weeks afterwards and it was quit heavy but i expected that. two days ago when i wiped there was a little bit of brown blood onthe paper. and after that nothing until toaday again it was just a little bit of brown blood but nothing else afterwards. could it just be left over from the miscarriage, my period, or could it be implantation bleeding? my doctor told me i should get my first period three to four weeks after the miscarriage because i was so early in my pregnancy when i miscarried but no signs of a period starting. any information will help. Thank you

I just had an early m/c 9 Jun.  I bled for about 3 days and it wasn't very heavy.  My first AF cycle after the m/c was more painful than what it normally is for me.  I normally have no cramping or passing of clots however I've noticed that each time I've got pregnant and the first AF afterwards will always have some tissue, clots and be painful for me.  I've spoke with my dr about it and they told me it is perfectly normal for the first period after your m/c.  They told me that the lining was still thick after I stopped bleeding from my m/c due to the hormones still being out of wack and unless I pass some greyish tissue to not worry about it.  They did recommend using a pad for the first couple of cycles after m/c.  Yuck feels like I'm walking around wearing a diaper.  lol

i also had a natural miscarriage at five weeks, but for me i the first 2 days felt like a noraml period no clots or anything the third day there was nothing but from day 4 to about day 10 i was in extreme pain heavy bleeding with constant clots. my lower back was killing me and occasional pains in my lower stomache. it was horriable. day 11 to day 14 was very light  with hardly any pain. but that was all right away. to me it sounds like a miscarriage that you had with the second period but idk why you would have that all 5 weeks later. sorry i don't think that was much help but thats all i know. sorry

thank you for commenting it was very helpful. when i last seen my dr my hcg level was a 2 and two days before that they were a 5 but she did not track it all the way to 0. She told me that there was no other reasons to check my levels since they were going down as they were suppose to. i'll wait one more week to see if my period starts and if not i'll take a hpt and call my dr  to check my levels because she told me three to four weeks from my miscarriage i should get my period and it will be five weeks next weeks.

Dear girls.
we are in the same boat. I need to ask you something. I miscarried one month ago when i was exactly 5 weeks. It was a naatural miscarriage, the doctor checked the pregnancy hormone through urine and blood and did an ultrasound. I bled for 5 days like a normal period, simply red blood no clots, but alot of pains. After the bleeding stoped the pains contined, and they prescribed me flagyl and doxycycline as i had infection. One month after i got the period, with very bad pains. Today im in the 5th day of the period, it is not normal, i passed some tissue today and have horrible pains in the lower back and lower tummy. does this mean that i am passing out the dead baby? But why after 5 weeks, is this the reason why it is 5 weeks i am in severe lower back and abdominal pains? Is this the case of the infection? Does it mean that i will not be able to have children? What were your experiences?
Thank you very much.

My period came exactly 28 day from the day my mc started..but everyone is different.  It could be either..did your doctor follow you hcg back to zero? If so then it is unlikely that this spotting is from the mc...and either it is about to be a period or possible implantation.  The only way to find out for sure depends on if you followed you hcg to zero? If you did you should be able to take a early results hpt in a few days. If you didn't follow hcg to zero you will need to go get your hcg checked 2x's to see if it is going up.
