ttc after m/c, is it time??

I m/c at 13 weeks and the baby was measuring around 11 weeks 3 days. I had the d&c the following day.  I bleed about 3 days, not really heavy.  About 2 weeks after the d&c me and dh had sex.  I had been having some cramps that day leading up to this that were feeling like i was going to start af and later that night i did start bleeding and it was like a normal period, red coloring and lasted for 3 days.  Now I am waiting to track this months period to see if that bleeding was really af.  It has been almost 4 weeks since d&c.  I go back for my first check up on the 30th of dec.  I have been having cramping here and there like I am going to start af, just here and there thru out the day.  not a constant cramp.  My question is do you think it would be too soon the ttc again after this months af.  And also did any of you that had a d&c wait the full 6 weeks (depending on your dc.) before having sex again.

I didnt wait to TTC even though i was told to wait 2-3 cycles. my cervix closing was because of the d&c and it is very uncommon to happen.
I hope you do get AF today so you can get back on track with knowing your cycle so you can TTC. i hope you have success early in the New Year.

bless your heart you have been going thru some tuff stuff girl!!  did he say what would have caused a closed cervix??  well i hope that you have wonderful christmas positive waiting under the tree for ya!!  how long did you said you waited before ttc again after mc?  i have just started to spot today so i will see if it is a visit from af.  been having cramps and feeling like it was time.  so happy to think it maybe come soon.  a lot of things i have read on here say that the first is kind wierd.  heaver and sometimes longer.

the problems ive been having started after the d&c. the dr seems to think its a coincidence that its all happening now. the scope is to see what he cant see on the u/s. im still having pain. ive had a closed cervix (from the d&c) and two cysts. he thinks the pain now is form the last cyst that was so big he thought it was something else and my ocary would need to be removed but when i went back it was gone. he said the pain could be inflammation from such a huge cyst bursting. or endometriosis. ill find out by Christmas if i am preggers. he said getting pregnant may fix the problem.

i am in your boat too waiting.  i had my d&c on the 18th of nov and i have been waiting.  i have been using protection so i can wait at least on cycle to track bfp when it happens.  did you start ttc right after d&c?

well i am just at the 4 week point and i am hoping so see her come soon.  i ***** having to wait forever and not know what in the world is going on.  i am so happy to hear things are goin good with your pregnancy!!  i hope to be there when the time is right.

I didn't get af for almost 7 weeks after the D&C, and I bled for about 4 days after D&C.  I was a little nervous just to wait one cycle, but I was so anxious to get trying again.  Good luck.

Could somebody please answer me.  i had my d&c  on the 19 November after m/c at 9 wks preg.  i havent gotten my AF since then.  only bled for 2 days after d&c.  is this normal or is there a possibility that i may be pregnant again.  is it the right time to ttc.  hope all you ppl are doing well and pls take care of yourselves

I had a D&C in August, had a normal period in mid september, and got a bfp the next month.  I am 13 weeks along now, and so far things have been normal.  My dr said he would rather that we wait 2 cycles, but one cycle was a MUST.  He has been great about everything, and it seems like a normal pregnancy so far.  Good luck, and keep us posted.

were your problems from the d&c or did you have some issues before you go bfp?  you'll have to let me know if you were pos. this month!!  what will they be running the scope for, if you don't mind me asking.  girl i'm not far at all behind you with the age!!  29 and counting up not down!!  let me know how things went

we tried for a year, got pregnant with twins ten lost them in September. I just got of the phone with the nurse and i have to go see the dr again tomorrow. once we know if i did or didnt get preggers this cycle then ill be having a scope done.
im 31 and don't want to wait any longer!

thanks.... i think i am going to.  i am sorry for your problems.  how long have you been trying.  we tried for like 3 years before i got bfp.  i am ready to give it another go.  i'm not getting any younger and i am so ready for a baby.  at least now i know it can happen!

if you feel ready then i say go for it. ive had a lot of medical problems since my d&c and even  though ive been TTC because i want a baby so bad i cant say my body was or is ready. usually the body is ready before the emotional side.
I hope you get a BFP soon!

Well I didn't really think many people would, you feel so paranoid about everything when some thing like this happens.  My dr. said to wait 2 cycle.  If i am falling around that date last month of when i started 2 weeks after the d&c then i will talk it over with my dr when i have my appt.  I do feel ready to ttc again.  It took us so long to get there in the first place and to be disappointed..... i am ready to move on and just think positive and ttc.  I have read lots of stories of women trying again as soon as they feel like it and going on with great pregnancies.

I didn't wait the 6 weeks. im not sure there are many that do to be quite honest. Do you feel that you are ready to TTC? how many cycles did you dr tell you to wait?

My obgyn told me I only had to wait 2 weeks to have sex after d&c and thats what we did. We had unprotected at that time. I bled on and off for those two weeks and I just got AF the other day, which was 30 days from the d&c. I have read that some women get their cycle back right away like I did and others are left waiting 6-8 weeks for their first AF. I hope your cycle resumes its regular pattern and you can start tracking again. I found it a relief getting AF and having the chance again to track Ovulation and BD. If your thoughts are to ttc again right away I believe that it is safe after your first AF. Some women like to wait longer for their own personal reasons, but for me, the only way to heal is to ttc again. I wish you all the luck and keep us updated.
