very worried!

Hi all. i am 6 wks pregnant today and over the past 3 weeks had all the usual signs of pregnancy, sore breasts, hungry, urinating frequently, sore back, cramps. i have noticed cramps similiar to premenstrual cramps since wk 3 ( so 3 weeks-on and off) and over the past week for 2 days noticed brown spotting, went to doc and she said its normal, but today i had all usual symptoms , had some cramps then disappeared... About an hour after that i went to the toilet and wiped bright red blood... still bleeding a few hours later... been to er where all they have done is takeb blood test and will call me... its not as heavy as period but still there everytime i use toilet which is every half hr... having a couple of sharp pains as i type, not in abdomen more like vaginal pains.. can anyone relate? Help?

Just wanted to let everybody know i saw my peanut today! 130bpm and measuring 7w1d which is 2 days ahead of previous thoughts. everything looks great and they couldnt explain the bleeding, but advised there is no hidden bleeding anywhere so it shouldnt happen again! Very happy!

ok so on 30/11 HCG was at 32000, today 02/12 it is at 44000. Midwife says it is borderline ok... Going to ob tomorrow, then for ultrasound early next week... am bleeding/spotting slightly again, only when wiping... and no pain... so not entirely sure. at least levels have no decreased. there is a glimmer of hope!

Once your hcg gets above 1200, the doubling time goes from 48 hours to 96 and the higher the number gets the slower it is to double.  Good luck.

All I am worried about is that it may be a missed miscarriage, and also my HCG levels - they should ALMOST double every 48 hrs... except the last test I had was yesterday & wasn't even close to doubling over the 96 hrs...

24/11 - 12500 roughly
26/11 - 21000 roughly
30/11 - 32000 roughly - yesterdays.

The first 2 results were taken in one lab, the 3rd in a different lab - so not too sure if there may be much difference but I am hoping. I get another HCG level check tomorrow, that will determine everything. If it is up, then I will be a little more positive, if down, then very much an impending miscarriage. I hope for the very best. I will let you all know & I hope I can leave this forum & go back to expecting, but won't know until tomorrow afternoon.

Hajiy, how did your miscarriage start? I had cramping yesterday (but the same as what i have had for weeks on and off) and light bleeding (would not have filled 1 pad yesterday)but the cramping stopped yesterday as soon as i noticed red. i have woken up today, no cramping and no sign of blood yet . dont know what is happening? Terrified.... :-(

have you been able to call your doctor and let them know what's going on?  Bleeding in pregnancy isn't normal, but it's not uncommon either.  Many women bleed and have healthy babies.  Having a scan would be a good idea as well as having the hcg checked....I'd want both.  If you have the opportunity to go ahead and do it , then I would rather than worry myself sick.  Not knowing is an awful place to be.  good luck, hun.  I hope it all works out for you .

No pain since starting the bleed over 10 hrs ago (only prior and they have been the same for 3 wks-premenstrual cramps), no clots, bleeding is not filling a pad, i havent even filled 1 all day... just wiping red everytime i use toilet (and that is every half hr coz i am paranoid) and i have been laying down for about 5 hrs now.... so not sure what is going on, could be the very early start to miscarrying, but despite the hospital not wanting me to have a scan until after hcg on fri, might be worth having one tomorrow just for peace of mind? I am new to this, only known for a week and were very happy but now this happens and i have read so many bad stories from others about bleeding so i knew something wasnt right when i saw it. i am absolutely terrified of the next step.

I have had this numerous times, once most recently I had a healthy beautiful son and everything was fine and another time I miscarried.
You need to rest and keep Your feet elevated, just incase but I am sure everything will be fine.
I had it with my son elijah and the doctor even said I would miscarry but he is very healthy and definately alive now months on.
