when will my cycles return to normal after a d& c?

hello can any1 help? i had a misscarrige at 11 weeks which resulted in having a d &c on the 25th of april 2011! there was very minimal bleeding after which didnt last long. then 2 weeks later i was bleeding again which was quite heavy and lasted 4 about 8-9 days,i presumed this my was my period!!! before the misscarrige i had a regular 28 day cycle so after this 9 day bleed i expected my period again 28 days later!!!! i started to gain weight and felt exactly the same way as i did with the last pregnancy, i done numerous hpt which were all neg :( but then day 35 i started 2 bleed but only for about 4 days(usual periods are about 5-6 days). 5 days after my period ended i started to get alot of discharge and then i noticed blood in the discharge, not lots but it was very creamy and pinky light brownish  when i wiped, and this lasted about 3-4 days> i was also getting cramping like period pains, what does this mean please help!!!  when shpould i expect my period again?

I have also read that if your body does not complete the miscarriage cycle that it will attempt to clear itself out again... but this is typical of a natural miscarriage.  I am not sure about the D&C process.  Good insights  @ need_answers_from_someone --- every woman is different so glad you posted that.

I also had irregular bleeding after my D&C.  It was off and on for about 3 weeks after the procedure.  My doc said ti could not have been AF because my body did not have enough time to ovulate and go through a complete cycle.  My cycle was just like yours.  Every 28 days like clock work.  I got my period about 5 1/2 weeks after my d&c.  We started to try after the following period.  I was pregnant by the third cycle but only because I used an OPK.  My ovulation day had changed after the D&C.  I actually got a positive on the OPK on day 8 of my cycle.  I would recommend getting an OPK when you start trying again.  Good luck to you.

Some women can take up to 3 cycles to get back on track.  So just hang in there and if you notice any severe cramping, definitely contact your doctor.  Keep us posted on what you find out.

Sounds like ur body is trying to regulate itself.  Some people it can take a few cycles.  Good luck to u.
