Conversion Disorder Help

I am 19 years old. I got diagnosed with Conversion Disorder on or around Sept. 20th 2010. Ive tried to contact the doctor who diagnosed me several times but he will not return my calls. No other doctor where i live will help me... i dont know what to do I have a newborn and im the primary caregiver right n ow and im scared that something may happen while im takin care of her.. I have psychogenic non-epileptic seiures aka Conversion Seizures, i cant walk or move or talk normally anywhere from hours-weeks after a 'Conversion Seizure'. I just want answers or more information about it or what i can do.. etc.. ive looked online but i want to speak to a actual doctor. Does anyone know of any doctors (not psychologists) who can help me in KANSAS

HI jess sorry you are dealing with this. I dont know a lot about a conversion disorder but I was diagnosed with one Jan 2010. I saw 13 doctors total in Canada over a 6 month period. A doctor Berke at UCLA medical center saw me for a hyoid bone injury. He determined that it was a conversion disorder and advised me to get hypnotherapy treatment, lots of counceling and physical therapy.30 min After my first hypnotherapy treatment my pain was gone and the paralysis in my neck was gone including all my other symptoms.  If you have any questions or want to know more email me at ***@**** I strongly suggest you look into hypnotherapy ASAP.

I don't know of any specific referrals but for this kind of problem I would usually suggest trying a department of psychiatry in a training program. Have you tried the University of Kansas?
