Possibly.  Depending on the type of illness I believe that a lot is environmental.

I would advise discussing your concerns with your doctor or someone from your treatment team.  They will have your full history plus the knowledge.

I am just someone with MH issues too.  I don't know the answer.  Maybe others won't either.  The risks for your child might be higher but nothing is ever set in stone.
