skitzophrenia, bipolar, borderline?

A friend of mine has been watching my mood and personallity for awhile, year or two, and said i have a bunch of disorders. Schizophrenia, Bipolar, and borderline personallity. I have no clue what these are really or why he thinks i have them.   Can someone please tell me symptoms or something for these? Or a way i can find out? i do one small thing like get angry at him and he says its my bipolar acting up or i say i seen something or heard something and its my skitzophrenia.  How do i know if i have these?

I can't really add much to what others have said. I would note, though, that one of the problems with the diagnostic criteria is that they often seem to include stigmatizing language which can make it hard to read, and even harder to consider. It really is true that the best way to contemplate this question thoughtfully is to find a good psychiatrist to talk to.

best to seek a professional. unless your friend has a medical degree, they are not qualified to make that diagnoses.

The diagnostic criteria for each disorder can be found in the dsm-iv.  Try typing in dsm-iv for borderline personality disorder (bpd) or bipolar or schizophrenia.
