Hi there! I've been having A LOT of symptoms that suggest MS. I've seen several dr's includind two Neuros who say it is not MS due to
normalNormal saline flush exams/ tests. However, my sx are very worrisome and I still have the feeling it is MS. Could you please help? I am a 27 year old

My sx are: Started in May 07 - Numb in toes/feet, shooting pains in arms and
handsHand or foot spasms
Hand tremor(feels like hitting funny bone), tingling in arms and
handsHand or foot spasms
Hand tremor and feet, body wide twitching, occ. body
weaknessWeakness, brain fog, sensations of cold water splashing/running down legs, headache, anxiety.and cold numb
patchesAllergy testing
Skin color - patchy on face. These sx lasted for about 5 months then just disappeared. Brain mri w/wo con.-NORMAL (showed sinus disease), neuro exam normal (except for brisk ref.), All blood work normal except liver enzymes were elevated for no reason.
Mar 09- Sx's returned. Started with freq. urination/ burning NEG UTI. Left toes became numb (not completely numb, just an altered sensation). Numbness continued plus Extreme body fatigue, heaviness, dizziness (like rocking in a boat), dizziness problems made me feel unstable and balance felt weird/off, weakness in legs and body, pain in arms, hands, legs, feet (intermittent), eye/ear pain, Brain Fog, and burning in shins. My feet always feel cold and look whitish purple. Sx were really bad for a week then let up a bit. Still have all sx, but they aren't always there. Always changing. Very confusing!
I saw neuro again had another brain MRI w/wo con.- NORMAL (showed sinus disease) cspine MRI- NORMAL, NCS- NORMAL. Neuro exam was normal except for again brisk reflexes. I've also had complete blood work (CBC, Diabetes, Thyroid, etc..) and was normal. Was told by neuro that it wasn't neurological.
Currently seeing a Rhem. Had labs for auto immune and Lyme Disease. No results yet. Also just saw the ENT who has prescribed antibiotics for sinuses.
I appreciate your time and am looking forward to your explanation.
Thanks!

I've had MS for 36 years and nothing you said gave me an "Ah-HA!" moment. That said, I have had most of what you talked about--except the achy thighs per se--but then in 36 years with MS you're bound to have something similar at some time. That's the problem with MS---it take normal symptoms, often perverts them even more, makes us squirrely our of fear and anxiety about what MIGHT happen. My suggestion is to try and sleep as much as possible. If necessary ask your doctor for some kind of body relaxant in a low dose. Pray and try to remain calm. You'll no doubt hear soon and you can last another couple weeks or longer----even years figuring you do have something, but just waiting for the test results to "catch up." Manytimes people's symptoms arrive before their clinical test results, so it's a wondering game awhile. You can do it! Stick around the boards for encouragement--read so you understand about MS, and stay in touch. Cheers! Jane in Indiana
