Adult onset allergies and MS

Anybody ever heard of any kind of connection between the two?  Just thinking back to when I started having allergies in my late 20's and wonder if there is any connection to my current symptoms.

Thanks!

The medical term is cholinergic urtacaria.  It is a physical auto immune allergy,

Not a whole lot of people have it  It is caused by heat, sometimes cold.,exertion

emotions or exercise,  It presents as bumps on skin or hives and itches like crazy

anti-histmines are the drug used to calm it down/ hope this helps     Linda

I am speaking of seasonal allergies.  Can you describe what you experience with your auto immune allergy - I haven't heard of that before.

Hi,
I don't know if you speaking of seasonal allergies, But I have had an auto immune

allergy since the age of 18 (now 61).  I was supposed to out grow it  HA

Its a phyiscal allergy due to heat, stress, exercise, emotion or exersion

I usually break out with small bumps or hives    ( zyrtec helps ) I don't know    if is connected to ms or not.               Linda

I have had allergies until I was about 50, and I worked outside with plants and pollen and have lived my life with animals.

I was diagnosed with MS this February.

Interesting that there might be a connection.

I've had the same thing happen as PatHC.  They say the pollen in Maine is only moderate this year, but tell that to my sinuses.  Charley

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to this but I am giving it a bump as I know that I have become allergic or shall we say 'reactive' :-) to so many thing in the last couple of years and yes it has coincided with a worsening of my MS sx.

bump
