Advice and looking to vent.

Hello,
So this is my second time with bouts of muscle weakness, vision problems, tingling in the face and pain in my arms and legs as well as not being able to process thoughts quickly and clearly.
In 2013 I had optic neuritis which started this all off. During that time I had 3 days of I've steriods. I had a spinal tap done then which came out clear. Now, 3 years later I'm having the same symptoms. I have the same lesion on my brain as of 3 years ago but no new ones which is good. I had an emg done my neurologist said the results were fine. Now I'm getting another mri on my spine. He says if he can't figure it out he's sending me to and ms specialist. He also said my psoriasis could be tied to everything wich I don't understand.
Thanks for listening

Hi Melrose,
It is good that you are going to a MS specialist, they are great at sorting this out. There are so many mimics that he has to go through, it is always more difficult when the spinal test is clear then he will probably take a good look at the mimics to sort this out. I have 40 lesions on my brain, and 5 years of symptoms like MS, but now I might be finally getting a diagnoses and that is Sjögrens in the CNS. The symptoms can be SO much like MS, so that is why your neuro has to look carefully over everything. I sure hope he will figure this out for you, good luck and let us know how it goes.

Best wishes,
Dagun
