I think it's pretty safe to say that this sounds like a new relapse. As each relapse and remission occurs, you may notice less and less improvement, when your relapse ends. This is the way it seems to be with RRMS.
My very first relapse was exactly like yours. (although this happened for me 14 years ago.) I thought I would never come out of it, even with Solumedrol treatments. In fact my first relapse, I could not walk with the aid of a walker or cane. I have only had that happen to me, one other time during the past 14 years. Thank God.
I sincerely hope that you make a call to your doctor right away, to let him know what you are going through right now. This relapse is very close to your last one and that's important for the doctor to know. He may be able to stop it in it's tracks with Solumedrol. Please note that I said, "may." Some doctor's reserve steroids for Optic Neuritis, as my Neuro does.
Please let us know what your doctor says....you did say you were going to call him, right? LOL Good!
I hope you feel better sweetheart and I am sorry you are going through another relapse so soon. This new relapse may be enough evidence to convince your doctor that you really do have MS.
Best wishes,
Heather
Actually Im not sure that It can be another relapse as I havent been completely free of the weakness, unless it needs longer to get better or it is not going to get better.
Past 2 relapses have remitted completely although the first one did take nearly 9 months to be completely resolve with symptoms buiding up gradually to the worst and then gradually getting better again. First relapse was definanatly my worst so far.
