Any data entry geeks out there? Puhlease??

by Quixotic1, Nov 04, 2009 08:12PM
I desperately need someone to take our two threads on who is diagnosed and who languishes in limboland and put them into a simple spreadsheet.  I would be happy if just the names got listed, though the other info would be nice, too.

We have soo many people now, over 250, and many of you are still active.  I feel like a dunce when someone I know asks a question and I can't remember if they got a diagnosis or not.  It would be great to have a master list and I SWEAR I would keep it up if one got started up to now!  I SWEAR!!!

Any takers??  The position comes with free ice cream.

If Bio can't do it, I can probably work on it, but it will be at least a week until I can get to it.  (Work is insane right now.)

I could try to work on it too.

I am a professional data entry geek.  I will be happy to take this on, and I can start on it Friday afternoon, if that is acceptable.  (By professional, I mean that's what the gov't pays me to do--bang stuff into a computer just as quickly as I can.)

Okay, I'm finished entering all of the diagnosed people. Where shall I send it? Who would like to work on entering the undiagnosed?

*bump*

OK, I vote that hbananas and LoveMy deal with this one!

This is probably too late, but I did some stats on the early posters on these threads (http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Multiple-Sclerosis/Stats-on-Who-is-Diagnosed/show/711754) and I have the Excel spreadsheet that I used to produce that, which includes the names and summary info about the different answers (although I inferred or skipped some b/c not everyone answered all the questions or answered them in a way that was clear to me).

If anyone wants the spreadsheet, PM me with your email and I will email it to you. I am leaving for vacation tomorrow afternoon and will not be back until the following Friday, but I can try to send it out tomorrow morning if someone lets me know.

I did the Limbolanders.  Ready to send when I know where and how.

by Quixotic1, Nov 08, 2009 07:10PM
Great!  You can send the file to me at my personal email.  I'll PM you with it.

Now I just have to get EXCEL.  I am a total WordPerfect nut and down't even own the MS programs, but I should, so I will.

Thanks, Holly
