Anyone's life change for better due to MS?

I read an article about an equine paralympian with MS. She spoke about ways MS had provided her with opportunities she would never have had if not diagnosed with this condition. Most of it related to her Paralympic experiences. Got me thinking about the ways MS may have positively influenced your life.

Well, the big thing for me is that I joined this forum and have learned so much while making many wonderful friends I never would have known otherwise.

That's all I can think of, but it's sure a biggie.

My heart attack was the warm up for my MS dx.  I think both of these  have made me a stronger person.  I am more of an advocate for myself and others than I ever thought possible.  Or than I had ever even thought of.

Like Ess, I have met some wonderful people through having MS ...

The MS has lead me my new life as a health reform advocate. I now get to meet all these amazing politicians and health care professionals.

Through my blogging I have found I am a good writer.

I am starting a book about my life and overcoming obstacles.

I have trained my own service dog. Polly now goes everywhere with me which gives me more confidence in crowds.

I changed my diet because of the MS. I am now growing my own vegetables and cooking something I did not do before.

I trust my husband more and we are closer than ever.

I appreciate the little things more. I am doing things while I can. Riding a hot air balloon. Riding horses. Hiking . Yoga.

MS has lead me to new friends and let me know who my true old friends were.

Would I want MS no. MS does not have me.

Life today is good.

Alex
