BAER

by carolynvb, Aug 20, 2008 09:20AM
OK I will try to keep this short!!!!  Diagnosed 06 with benign brain tumor not causing symptoms I was experiencing...13 DR's later diagnosed lyme disease treated with IV meds and had radiation on tumor.  Unexpected pregnancy all symptoms went away!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!  after baby symptoms return with vengence and work up for MS...last MRI showed non specific foci....6 months prior all was well...I have to have regular MRIS due to the tumor so have history of last couple of years no foci...spinal tap OK still I am very unewell,  Dizziness, balance issues, tremors, eyelid twitch for 1 yr, muscle spasms and pain weakness legs and arms, EXTREME fatigue...  had BAER test and have not had results but had a strange reaction as I did last MRI.  The noise sent my body into spasms and tremors that were uncontrollable especially when the noise was in the right ear...(same side as eyelid twitch) last MRI had to reschedule as they said that I was shaking and my face was contorting...that time had no idea it was the case...this time it was awful and when I left I was in a lot of pain in my legs and had to come home and rest felt like I had been run over by a bus....this should have been an easy test but obviously I am having some reaction to the noise ....any ideas PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry your having a hard time. I can't be much help but I have read that people with MS can be bothered by noises and smells during a relapse. I've read that the smells are usually unpleasant and even the slightest noise can be irritating.

Anyway, I'll say "Hi", and bump up your question so other people will get a chance to answer and come up with some ideas before it gets lost.

Take Care
