Baby News

Sorry guys, haven't been as active here in the forum.  Good news, I am 12 weeks and the baby is still alive even after the scare we had.  A few weeks ago I started bleeding for no reason that I knew.  I also hadn't kept anything, not even fluids down for 3 days. I went in and they did an emergency ultrasound and found out that I was bleeding under my placenta.  I was put on some restrictions to make sure I could heal as well as medication so that I could eatand keep it down.  They said I might bleed for a while.  Good news is I only bled that one day and haven't since.  I had a hard time with the nausea even with the meds for a while, but by the time my medication ran out I was over the worst of it thank goodness. When I went in my doctor said that the radiologist suggested another ultrasound to make sure it heals, but I have already had 2 and my doctor forgot to send the second one in as an emergency and not a regular ultrasound so I have no more.  He then said if he can hear the heartbeat that he would be okay with that, but if not I would have to have one.  Luckily we heard a strong heartbeat.  Anyway just thought I would update.
Oh and more good news.  I haven't had any of my MS-like symptoms since this pregnancy began. (Knock on wood)

Awe too bad! It would have been interesting to see a 12 week old fetus/baby.  I wasn't sure how to say that.  :)

I hope that all will be well with both you and your baby.

Tahiri,
We are all so glad you are comfortable here with us and sharing this joyous news.  You know we don't have things like your pregnancy happen around here very often to make us smile.  Now can you put up with all of us wanting to "mother" you for these coming months? :-)

Be well, Lulu

Thanks. I am excited.

Heather,
No I have not joined a pregnancy forum and probably won't. I am one that shares with very few people.  Most of my extended family does not even know I am pregnant yet and we are a close family. Sorry no offense intended, but it took quite a while just to get up the nerve to join this forum.  This is really my only online identity. Not that I regret joining at all.  I love this forum and the friendships I have made in it.

Hi Sweetheart,

What great news about you and the baby.  And even better news that you are having no Neurological symptoms.  That's the great thing about being pregnant.  The immune system kinda shuts off alot of things, to make the accomadations for the growing "foreign" being inside of your body.  At least that's what the body thinks.  So to protect the baby from harm from the mother's immune system, it goes in "lower" gear, so to speak and poof your Neurological symptoms disappear.  This is what researchers are looking at for a possible future treatment for MS.  The happneings of the pregnant woman.....

Have you joined one of the Pregnancy Forums yet?  If you have, I would like to follow everything about your pregnancy.  I have been doing that with another member of ours, Sally.  It's been so fun to watch everyone throughout their weeks of pregnancy.

I am so happy that things are going well for you dearheart.  This is so exciting to have a baby amongest our members, so we can spoil the baby through cyberspace.

God love ya sweetheart....we are so glad that you are doing well.

Hugs,
Heather

Oh, it is so good to hear from you. I have been wondering how you were doing. What great news that baby is doing well.  You two hang in there and trust that whatever comes up the doctors will be able to take care of and that you will have an uneventful, God willing, rest of your pregnancy.
