Back pain... is this what spasticity feels like?

Hi everyone,

First please forgive my grammar, english is my 2nd language.

I've been diagnosed with MS in 2007 but I'm experiencing a pain I never had before and I'm wondering if it's spasticity, as I never experienced that so far. It started with neck pain like my muscles were extremely tight. It lasted for a day or two and since 48h the pain is going down my back... It feels like someone is trying to rip my spine out of my body. It ''pulls'' on my spine... it's hard to explain, but I can feel the pain comes from each sides of my spine and it ''pulls''. If you're experienced it perhaps you know what I'm talking about.

I first thought I pulled out a muscle but I'm wondering if it could be MS as I experienced parastesia (burning sensation on my skin, all over my back, neck and arms) this morning but it toned down since. I rarely have parastesia but it comes and goes with the relapses.

Thanks for your help! My neuro is on vacation for another 2 weeks and I don't know what to do. Trying to save myself from the ER.

Do you have a good Primary Care? They can prescribe a muscle relaxer like Baclofen or Zanaflex. A Physical therapist can help with stretches.
