Baclofen question

Baclofen question

I took my first dose of Baclofen in the daytime today.  I have been tking 20mg at night and it has been working week.  Helping sleep better, etc.

I always have some trouble walking with my legs.  But today after taking the 10mg of Baclofen I noticed that my legs seemed weaker and jelly like.  I almost fell a couple of times.  I am wondering if i am better off dealing with the spasms and stiffness rather than the jelly legs.  Either way my walking is still tough.

I don't know what i should do about this.  Does the weakness go away after a while?  Is that a side effect that you have to just wait for until it wears off or is it always like that?

I am hoping someone has experience with this because want to take the med if it will help with my walking.  If it makes my legs work than I don't see how it will help.

Thnks for answering.

Kerrtelli,

Hi there,

I'd crack them in 1/2. I'm surprised your doc didn't prescribe it that way. When I started baclofen, that's how it was ordered. In 10mgs and I'd crack them in 1/2 and work my way up.

I'd say you may adjust in a few months to it and get your strength back, but in the mean time titrating the dose should help you along.
