Hi Maggie and welcome to the MS forum. I hope you will find the information and companionship here helpful.
I don't believe Syncope (fainting) is a symptom of MS, although I am not a medical expert. Dizzinesss and balance issues are an MS problem and very common. If I had to make an educated guess for you, the fainting happened because of the sudden change of position and drop of blood pressure.
Have you had other incidents of this or is this a one time thing?
Anyway, welcome again and I hope you stick around and join us in the fun and education! - Lulu
