Being dizzy

I am 38 years old and I have had MS for a couple of years now. I take  Rebif injections 3 times a week and my question is this does being dizzy and having fainting spells a part of the MS symptoms. In March this year I  fainted after getting out of bed in the middle of the night and hit my head and had to go to the emergency room for stitches. They ran blood tests and said that all was in normal range. Thanks, Maggie

Hi Maggie and welcome to the MS forum.  I hope you will find the information and companionship here helpful.

I  don't believe Syncope (fainting) is a symptom of MS, although I am not a medical expert.  Dizzinesss and balance issues are an MS problem and very common.  If I had to make an educated guess for you, the fainting happened because of the sudden change of position and drop of blood pressure.

Have you had other incidents of this or is this a one time thing?

Anyway, welcome again and I hope you stick around and join us in the fun and education!   - Lulu
