Bladder/Bowel teleconference Tues/Weds

Shared Solutions has some good teleconferences - I  believe some of you have taken advantage of these. You don't have to be a copaxone user to dial in, listen and maybe even ask questions.

Tonight and tomorrow - Aug. 10 and 11 - the topic is Bladder and Bowel Issues in MS.

Even if you don't have issues, it might be useful to you to listen and learn more -

Tuesday, August 10 - 8:00 PM ET, 5:00 PM PT

Wednesday, August 11 - 9:00 PM ET, 6:00 PT

The expert is Christopher LaGanke, MD, he is from Cullman, Alabama

The number is  1 8 00  823  18  80 and you should call a few minutes before the program start.

I hope you can take advantage of this opportunity.

be well, be smarter!
Lulu

I just want to share a quote from the conference

"Life is not about waiting out the storm, it is about learning how to dance in the rain"

I really love this quote, because all of us in limbo or diagnosed can relate

I agree with you Lulu. But I have to add that if anyone (like me) listened that are still in limbo, then it was informative about what MS is. I already knew a lot of it because my sister has MS but with that said. I do believe he should have spent more time on the topic of the conversation which is bladder/bowel issues.

I will listen in tomorrow if you bump this again and remind me. I can't remember anything for the life of me.

I was really looking forward to the question/answer part of it but the first caller took up the entire time. We didn't need to know about her entire history of before and after being diagnosed. Hense the "question" part of the question/answer time.

But I did learn alot, will be looking forward to tomorrow to see if he talks more about the main topic.

This was not one of the better teleconferences because he

1) gave too much general information about MS - he should assume if we're listening on a shared solutions teleconference, we already know quite a bit about MS.

2)the first live question caller monopolized the time by treating it like a private consultation and took somewhere around  10-15 minutes, allowing time for only one more call. I'm sure this doc controls the time in his office visits better than he did tonight.

That said, I expect it will be better tomorrow night now that he has done this once and the SS people can talk to him about these issues.  At least I hope so because I plan on listening in again.

There were a few things I picked up and will share them after I sit through part 2!

I hope you can join me in listening Wednesday night.

Lulu or anyone else that does listen to the tele-conference could you please post the highlights if possible. I have a lot of trouble hearing things on a phone so my calling would be useless.
