Same thing about the cold--when I get that way it is difficult to get me warm. In the winter, it's not uncommon for me to have a 96 degree temperature in the evenings. I will get into a warm bath, my snow white feet and hands will turn a bright red. Then, I start feeling normal again. I can't stay in a warm bath, however, because I will get overheated . . .
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else experiences this. I looked up these symptoms online and saw that it can be connected to the hypothalamus, which is in the brain. This gets me thinking--do lesions ever occur there?
Deb,
I hadn't thought of myself as an amphibian, but you are absolutely right with the concept.
I don't know about lesions on the hypothalamus - perhaps someone else will know.
