Burning turns to numbish feeling

I've just noticed something, where I have had burning on my body, feet and back, it then turns numb, not numb to touch but has a numbish feel.

Has anyone else had this?

Have you had any updates on your symtoms?  I have been having the same thing happen to me, but it started out with numbness on my whole right side.  It's been about 6 weeks and I haven't had a neuro appointment yet.  I would love to know what your doctor is saying.

Hi,
I have been reading this forum for awhile now and find it very interesting and helpful.  I am relieved to hear that other people have the same symptoms as I do.  I have had the tingling/burning and numbing sensation for over two months now.  It's mainly down my right side into my arm, fingers, leg and toes.  I can feel tightening around my fingers and big toes especially plus pains in the center of my hands and feet. Just last night I woke up three times feeling numb down my right side but not actually being numb just the sensation.  Very weird.  I have had blood work and an MRI done but it all came back normal.  I am due (finally) to see a neurologist on Wednesday.  I'm afraid she'll dismiss my symptoms as stress.  They may be exasperated by stress but I'm afraid there's something else going on.  I've also been tested for Lyme and vitamin B12 deficiency and that all came back fine too.
Could this really be the beginning of MS?

Hello,
I have the burning in my left arm. It never goes away. and the numbness is the strangest feeling. Its like touching your skin that has a sheet over it. Its very annoying! That is a permanent problem in my left hand and partial right hand. Sometimes I just wanna bang my hands on the table to see what happens.

Hi Melissa,

Yes, but my problems start with pain and then turn to numbness.  Mostly my legs, hands and arms.

Isn't it a weird feeling?  It has always been hard for me to describe it.  It's like I can feel my leg, but it still has that numb feeling sensation.  Sounds crazy, I know.

Hope this gets better for you.

Take care,
doni

yes, I have had changes in sensation. Mostly from tingling to burning then tingling again. Occassionaly numbness but like you say not numb to touch just a feeling.

I have noticed a variety of sensations evolving from affected areas.  My feet and legs have hurt, tingled, burned, felt cold and wet, etc.  I believe the health page about parasthesis explains this ("Things that Go Buzz in the Night").  It is one of my favorite health pages.
