CCSVI

I'm not taking a position one way or the other. I'm just posting a link to a recent article which highlights the most recent lack of scientific support for CCSVI.

Yes, TFS.  I do take a position and I'll share it.

The theory that CCSVI causes MS is a theory with so little support its originator even lost faith in it.

The vein-widening procedures that claim to strip away MS symptoms are too dangerous and unproven to sink my hopes and money into.

The article states "It’s hard to argue with credible scientific research".  I am well aware that the truth of credible scientific research will sometimes be overturned when new, improved, and more credible scientific research is introduced.  I'll wait for updates.

If my level of function or quality of life was so low that I was willing to accept higher treatment risk I'd be inclined to look at autologous stem cell transplantation before any ‘liberation’ surgery on my vascular system.

I also expect, as the article points out, "this likely won’t deter the outspoken faction that supports the blocked-veins theory."
