Can drugs for Migraines alter MS diagnostic test results?

I recently had an LP study, VEP study, MRI of head and spine study. They all came back normal. Doctors were expecting MS, as I have many symptoms.  I haven't had the follow-up appointment with my neuro yet to discuss where to go from here, but I am wondering if the drugs (topiramate) that I am currently taking for migraines affected the results in any way? I was prescribed and began taking the Migraine drugs by a different doctor a couple of months before I took these tests. Maybe 2 months.
  
Also, the side effects of this drug are terrible making my initial MS-like symptoms even worse. I'm wondering if anyone was ever on the same boat and what they did?

What drugs are you speaking of those taken daily to prevent Migraine or those you take when one is starting? I take booth and they told me to take the first ones at the time of the test and they made no difference even with a eeg.

Yes both make my MS Symptoms worse. Also I get atypical migraines which act like MS effecting the left side of my body. I go blind and my left side gets weak. Sometimes it is hard to sort out since heat brings them on like heat makes MS symptoms worse. The difference is as my migraine clears up the symptoms clear up and the blindness is not like a MS eye symptom.

Sounds like you have a very good Doctor to do all those tests. Sorry you are having the issues. Hopefully you will get some kind of answer soon.
