Kelli,

Most of the above are locations of your lesions.

I am not sure about some of the above but I have to say it seems like you got "whammied."  When did your symptoms start?

Take care girl,

The areas described are locations (cerebral, pons & cerebellum) typical for MS lesions and the post-contrast enhancement would be consistent with active demyelinating lesions.

Kelli, your MRI report pretty much tells us why you got your DX.  Most of the places mentioned are classic for MS.  The enhancing lesions mean you were in an active phase when the MRI was done.

You have lesions in your brain and at least in your cervical spine.

Good for you to get copies of your records. That is very important to do.  You never know if down the road you decide to change doctors and those records aren't available.

When you look at your pictures after your brother figures it out, don't be surprised if you are confused again.  It is always difficult to decipher what you are seeing.  Be sure to call you doctor and schedule an appt. to review your films if you have questions.

be well,
Lulu

Thanks everyone.  Iguess the thing that leaving me really sad and feeling hopeless is that on the MRI paper it said that I have something about "severe" MS.  It's just really depressing.

My boyfriend of a year and I just broke up and he has been with me through all of this since before the dx.  But I had to call our relationship quits.  He was using me, stealing from me, manipulating me and I was in denial for to long about the truth and him.

I'm really depressed and I am so sick of myself.  I can't even get a coplete sentence out with the words in the right order.  It's much better than it was befoe the IVsm so I'm guessing this is my baseline cognition.

I don't know.  I' m always confused and I just don't know what to do or say anymore.

Sorry about this rant.  I needed to get it out.  I know someone always has t worse the we think we do, so I'll be praying for everyone.  Thanks to my family here on this amazing forum.  If I didn't have this forum to go to and read everyday, and learn so much more about our Disease I would be up s@#$ creek with out a paddle as my mom would say.

Goodnight everyone

Kelli,
we've heard about toads around here before.  Men who can't do right by their women, especially when they are already dealing with difficult illness, are probably more than toads, but that will do for now.

Good for you to have the cognitive functions good enough to know that he needs to go.  You have enough to focus on without dealing with his cr ap, too.

Severe MS sounds serious and I won't argue that point.  But there are treatments available to you that may help to slow or even stop the progression.  Talk to your neuro about this report and get the doctor's feelings.  And then remember all of that is just a guess - no one knows where we will end up with this MiSerable disease until we are at the end.

Depressed?  I would be too.  But don't let it linger if you can't shake it off, talk to the doctor about this as well.

hugs for you,
L

kel, try to remember that the MRI doesn't tell the whole story.  We may have lesions yet we are never bothered by them.  Then again we may have one tiny one that causes a host of problems.  Just looking at an MRI cannot tell you how severe your MS may or may not be.  Your body will tell her own story.

There is no doubt may times a neuro can say he/she is not surprised at problems we are having due to the placement of some lesions.  I can tell you that I know I have lesions that haven't given me any problems and I have told my neuro I do NOT want to know where they are or how they may present themselves.  I know myself all too well.  If she did the following day I would be in a complete flair with those lesions acting up...and I ain't kidding ya!!

Oh yea, but I would want a neuro to treat it with aggression!!!!  Without a doubt, I do not want them to play around with it.
