Co Workers are asking ?'s What do I say!

by cyndi25, Nov 05, 2009 10:17PM
lately its  been really hard to get by at work without looking like
there is something wrong, and my co-workers are noticing and asking what the heck
is going on, even our facility nurse called me in to asked me what was going on, I
told her it was a lack of sleep and I would be fine (half truth lol) by
11 a.m. I am looking really fatigue, walking like a drunk at times,
and talking like one too, its really embarrasing.  I Have in the past been able to deal
with it, but this time, it has really gotten to me, I feel so weak . what should I tell them,
im still waiting for a dx, dont know if I should say anything or not.
Thanks
Cyndi

Tell them nothing.  They are curious, but they don't care.  Just tell them that you aren't feeling well if they really press you.

Talking to coworkers, in my experience, has created disaster!

It's honestly none of their business. Is your work suffering and in turn affecting them? If not then I would think there's no reason to tell them. It's your diagnosis and it's up to you who you would like to share this with and when.

Cyndi,
Sweetie, usually I say Honesty is always best, but there are a few exceptions. I am afraid that this is one of those EXCEPTIONS.
From Every thing I have learned that unless it's for insurance it is best to be very careful of who you talk to regarding you Having MS it's totally not Fair, and awful that things like being unsure of who you can trust at your place of employment. I would figure out who is safe to talk to some one who knows the Company's policies and than take it slow.. I am so sorry you are having a difficult time of things at work.
Cyndi, if you haven't been DX yet, Than you really Have Nothing to Tell anyone. I sure WOULDN'T TELL ANYONE THAT YOU ARE WAITING FOR A DX. WHY WOULD YOU OR ANYONE DO THAT.
JUST TELL THE TRUTH IN THIS CASE, WHICH IS YOU FEEL A BIT UNDER THE WEATHER AND ARE SEEING YOUR DOCTOR, SO EVERY THING IS UNDER CONTROL.. NOTHING MORE THAN THAT NOTHING LESS,,, THIS WAY YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIE. WHO KNOWS WHEN OR IF YOU'LL GET A DX OF MS. IT'S A WAIT AND SEE SORT OF THING ISN'T IT.
I hope you feel better soon, I'll keep you in my daily prayers.. Sending you gentle hugs on the winds.{{{{~!~}}}} DJ
