Cold patches!

Cold patches!

Wild.  I've heard people talk about it, and I've had the cold and wet sensation intermittently, but this has been going on for two days.  I've got a cold and wet patch (that's perfectly dry) on the outside of my right thigh, another on my left knee, and one on the back of my left calf.  It's a little disconcerting.

Has anybody ever heard a cause (or preventative!) for this symptom?  I figure it's just the nerves misfiring, just like the pinprick pains and the burning, but it sure is weird.

I have had this paresthesia before and it is about the strangest thing I have ever experienced myself!  I don't know that there is anything that can be done to stop it but it can be very disconcerting!  I was standing in a department store and I thought I had peed my pants in the middle of a Christmas rush lineup!  I was terrified!

I hope you find some relief for this awful sensation and if you find something that works to stop it, please share...

Lots of Hugs,

Rena

I want to know what causing this, too.  I get this wet feeling on my face all the time.  It feels like I'm drooling out of the side of my mouth and I'm constantly wiping my face.

Many people here talk about 'warm and runny.' Mine is cold and damp, on my rear, of all places, so you can imagine the checking I do. However, for me this comes in spells (not to say spurts, hah), and I haven't had it lately. That's just fine with me, natch.

I think it's just  parasthesia, or abnormal sensation, and nothing much can be done about it. One day, of course, there will be a REAL damp patch and I'll walk around that way knowing it's all in my head. Hah again.

I had that happen yesterday... I got the usual biting pain in my toe, looked down, and it actually was a little ant biting my toe.
