Completely Off Topic

Ok, where on this earth, is the magic button, that brings you back to the MS Forum from your Inbox??????

I can't see it if it's there, but I am a bit slow at times, and I end up having to go back to main group of forums, then the MS forum, blah, blah, etc. . . . . Please, if anyone has seen it.  Even WITH my hyper scroll, laser speed mouse, I can't find it. .  .

Speaking of magic, I'd like to wish some on you all, may you have a peaceful, symptom-free day..... or night..... wherever you are......whatever you suffer. . . . . .We're in this together.

Symptoms, shimptoms, go away! That ought to do it!
(But remember, they are afterall, what brought all of us here together, on the same page. . . .)

Be well,
SL

I got it!  While on the main page of the MS Forum - look in the uuper right of the screen.  there is a link called, "Watch this Forum".  Clicking on this will add the MS Forum, or any other one you add, to the "Shortcuts" tab in your Inbox.  Then, when you are ready to leave your Inbox, you click on Shortcuts and the MS Forum will be listed.  Click on it and it will bring you back.  Ta dahhhhhhhhh!!

I'm getting to be soooo computer literate!

I do not remember how I did it last week, exactly.  But, somehow I went into communities, from my med help or somewhere and clicked on MS forum.  Now when I am in my inbox I get a shortcut key in the upper left corner that I can click on to take me right back to the MS forum.  You can add other forum communities, also.  Then, when you click on the shortcut key you can simply change forums there, if you so desire.

Hope this kind of helps!

Maybe it depends on your computer or your browser???? I just went from the MyMedHelp to the beginning of the forum page with the back page using the back arrow. Gotta be the browser...I think.

I have so much to do to get ready for the holidays and just feel too crumby to do it. My eyes are not cooperating tonight - can't read anything, small or large. Have had to retype everything 3 times! I am forming my CCF assault as we speak though!

Thanks ess

That will take you back 'here,' but SL wants to go from the MedHelp inbox back to the beginning of the forum page. There's no button to do that in one swell foop.

I suspect this is because My MedHelp is a global feature of Medhelp. They'd have to write a lot of software code to capture and identify which of their many forums one was using before going to My MedHelp.

A lot of trivial talk from me, a propos of nothing. Probably because I am procrastinating like crazy today. Have much to do but just ain't in the mood.

Hope you're coming along with your planned assault on CCF!

I just hit the "back" arrow at the top of the screen when I was in my inbox and came right back to the forum - to this thread actually. Presto!

No, there's no way to do it in one keystroke, unless MedHelp were to add a feature like that. You could always just go back a screen till you get to the front page. No need to go to the forums list.

Have fun playing with it, SL.

Hey !!!!!

Thanks to you all for responding.  The problem I'm having is when in the Medhelp Inbox (mail), I have to go back to Forums from the top options (that brings you to the main list of all forums), then click to the MS Forum.  Getting in to the MS forum directly, or 1st, refreshing, etc, quick keys. . .I'm good to go, but now have a bit more options to try out, so thanks for all the helpful hints.

I'm still wondering though, if there is a button that will bring you from the inbox (Medhelp),  directly back to the MS Forum. . . . If not, by all means, disregard, it's not a big deal......

Have a nice weekend,
SL

If you have AOL you can also add it to your toolbar...after you sign in and are on the MS forum page, click on the heart, click on the "add to toolbar", pick an icon, give it a name....then everytime after that when you click on your icon in the toolbar you are at a fresh new 1st page of the forums....I know alot of people just don't like AOL....but I have tried others and always come back to AOL!!

Yes, this by far is the easiest way. If you dont use Internet Explorer, your browser will have some choice (name) at the top of the screen other than Favorites. In Netscape it's called Bookmarks. But it's all the same thing. Add the MS Forum page to this list, and follow the instructions others have given to move it up near the top of the list so you don't have to scroll down a lot to get there.

Another easy way is to use the place near the top where you type in the URL (location on the Web) of sites to want to go to. For the MS Forum it's "medhelp.org/forums/show/41";. This is what shows when you first get to this forum. Type that once in the box (without the quotation marks).  If you come here often, that location will always be near the top of that particular list. Click on the little arrrow thing at the far right of the box you type in, and the whole list will expand for you. Select the one you want from that. You don't even need to use Favorites, Bookmarks, etc., if you find them perplexing.

Each time you do either of these manoeuvers you will get to the first MS page with an updated list of new posts.

For others like me who like to play on computers when they should gittin' busy-- Did you know there are keyboard equivalents for almost all mouse clicks? One I use a lot is F5, one of the function keys at the top of the keyboard. It's a quicker way to refresh the current screen. ALT plus the left arrow key takes you back a page, and not surprisingly, ALT plus right arrow does the opposite. There are loads more and sometimes are just easier. All these work in a Microsoft Windows environment, so I can't say about other operating systems.

When I first stated on this forum, I immediately went to my favorites and added it...so it's a "one-click" process.  If you have a long list of "favorites" like I do, you can bring the MS Forum 'button" by clicking on it (left click, don't let go, hold onto the left click and DRAG it up to the top of your list.  When you see where you want it to go, let go of the mouse buttom and poof it's there and will stay there until you change it.

I use Interent Explorer 7, so this is the method I use.

I like "off topic" SL, but this is not a question I find off topic at all.  It's about getting to the MS forum.  Frankly I enjoy our discussion about Neuro roasts, spaz legs, hot legs, hot flashes and the like...so let's get back to what this forum is all about, right?  Let's have fun, support each other, cry with each other and cyber hug each other.  We have the greatest Forum on the Internet.  I'd like to see it kept that way.  Laughter is always the best medicine....

Bunches of Hugs to all, Heather

I never have to sign in.  I just click the MS Forum in Favorites.  While you're on the first page , click on Favorites -> Add to Favorites -> Okay.  then if you have a long list of favorites, click on MS Forum in the list, then hold and drag it up near the top so you don't have to scroll.  Voila!

We all could use a little 'Off Topic' tonight.  After you sign in, put the MS Forum in your "favorites" if you can, then you don't have to necessarily sign in each time.  Is that what you're asking?  Not sure...

I hope you are well.  Haven't spoken to you in a while.  I miss it.  Will catch up soon.

I can't figure it out.  I don't think there is a button to go back to the MS forum, from the medhelp inbox.  That's the one giving me the heck.

Hey, speaking of shimptoms, do either of you know if the interferon's can bind you up (now you really know I'm delirious and very tired to even bring this up)? You see, I'm all bound up.  Nothing coming out of the shimptom, septic, you know, no #2. .   I just can't go . .sorry . . . .I just had to ask.

I don't even try.  I have the MS Forum on my Favorites.  I always return to a refreshed first page by using that.  It's like using your own button.  Q

I too don't know where that magic button is although I've searched high and low. I use the back arrow to get back to the forum.

I wish the same peaceful, symptom free time to you to SL.

Sure hope your shimptoms works.lol
