Cooling Techniques and Devices

The CAN DO MS Foundation is sponsoring a webinar next week on heat and cooling.  The topic is very relevant for most of us since the sumer heat is cranked up.  You register online and the web address is at the bottom of this page.

Date:  Tue, Jun 14, 2011
Time:  08:00 PM EDT
Duration:  1 hour

Meeting Description:

In this webinar, we will talk about how and why temperature changes have an effect on function and how to determine your core body temperature. We will also identify internal and external factors that may contribute to core temperature changes and learn strategies for easing the effects of heat and temperature sensitivity. We will also hear about cooling devices and learn about MSAA’s cooling device program.

Once you register you will receive and email with the phone number you can use to call in OR even better, you can do this on the web.  This would be good for our international members.

I'm marking this one on my calendar. I'd really like to know more about body temp. regulation, since I suffer from lack thereof.

I already have some cooling devices in my arsenal, and may get more. Personally I don't care what they look like. The way I walk already gives plenty of opportunities for staring, if that's what people want to do, so I'm long past that. Just want to be able to go outdoors in the summer.
