Yes! It happened to me also. My neuro acted like I was crazy when I called to ask. I went to my regular doc and got my hormones and thyroid tested. The good news is that it did stop on its own. It's unsettling though. I'm sorry it happened to you too.
Thank you all. I did not even think about calling the Copaxone nurse line. I will start there and add it to my list of things to talk with my neuro about at my appt next month. Even my eyebrows are getting bare. I am low on vit D but have been taking a supplement.
I just had solumedrol on Monday, it got rid of the fatigue for two days but it is back and I am still having leg and hand pain. My hand tremors were really bad yesterday. I hope this hair loss stops soon and that I start feeling better.
Thanks again for the replies, I appreciate it.
I have hair loss, but I had it prior to starting on Copaxone 3.5 years ago. I think for me it has to do with hypothyroidism or vitamin deficiency and not the Copaxone. I've vitamin D deficient. I've heard if you're deficient in vit D you are more likely to be zinc deficient. From what I've researched, low zinc could cause hair loss and skin problems (which I've been having). I just starting the zinc, so it's too early to tell if it will help. Both of these vitamins can be toxic, so it's important to not overdo them.
Doll,
I echo Lulu's comments. I was on Copaxone for 18 months and I did not suffer any hair loss Check with your doctor or call the MS nurse in his office. You can call the Copaxone nurse line and they could verify weather or not this is a side effect.

Doll, I have heard of this side effect but don't have it personally. I've been on copaxone for 3 years. Be sure to talk to your doctor about this.

Hello there,
I have been on Copaxone for 2.5 years....and I did have hair loss begining of this year...I didn't even think it may be Copaxone...I just cut my hair really short....have been eating very healthy lately...so my hair is growing back pretty thick again....
Not much help, ha?!
