DH update

Just popping in for a minute to let those of you following that my DH had his angio and stenting today. All went really well- better than we expected actually! The doc was even able to completely open the atery that was 100% blocked!!! He said there was the tiniest of openings and if they can get the wire through, they can open it -- and they did! They could not stent that one becaise it was right by a branch-off and would block the other vessel. They opened the 90% and stented it. The 70%, which he said was more like 80-85%, he opened but did not stent.

I am so very happy I cannot even describe it!!! He's going to come home tomorrow and be just fine (after healing time of course). Thank you to all you wonderful angels who prayed for him. Gotta go to bed - it was a VERY rough day on my legs. Was buzzing up to the chest area by the time they kicked me out. Going to slather myself in Icy Hot and curl up with a warm puppy dog=)

Funny thing is we had changed the diet some time ago, as both need to lose weight. Guess we waited too long, though I"m told heredity is just as much to blame. He admitted at the cath that he had been sneaking to the snack machine @ the office quite frequently too!

He had a set back last night after I had to go home (of course no one called me). His BP bottomed out and he passed out a couple times. He is okay today, but now he is told he'll probably have to stay another night:( I hate being home overnight all by myself. But he's ok and that's all that matters.

He's home! I got to bring him home this evening. What a relief! Now i just have to staple his rump down so he'll follow the doc's orders. He seems to think he's going to work in the morning!!!! I think not.
