Dental Hygenist Diagnoses MS...too funny

So I have had the same dental hygenist for 4 years and I have had MS for 2 years.  I see the hygenist twice a year regularly plus I am in the office often to get my teeth worked on.  Oh and I go twice a year with my 5 year old.

So today I go in for my cleaning and I am doing my usual waddle.  Her first question is "What is the limp about?"
To which I responded "My legs just aren't cooperating much anymore"
She asks me how things are going and if they got my medicine figured out (so I assume she knows I have MS) She proceeds to ask me what is going on with my legs.

I describe numbness, tingling, spasms etc and to my great astonishment, she actually said "WOW!! That almost sounds like the beginning of MS or something" To which I replied "Well I have MS so YES that is what it is from"

It sort of astonished me that a professional would just blurt out a dx like MS to a dental patient as opposed to simply asking "Have you seen a neurologist?"

So for those in limbo land, I recommend a dental hygenist for your next evaluation.  You just may get the dx you are searching for. LOL!!  Too funny :)
