Diet changes

by meg321, Dec 03, 2008 01:07AM
Hi gang, that was one of the questions i have been wanting to ask,,what others go thru with their weight.I have always had to watch my weight and was always on diets and worked out, and a lot of walking before i had to quite..and i loved it. But all of a sudden within the last year I lost my appetite, its interesting because i had never experinced it before.  I have lost weight  now without trying at all and that is very different for me and really nice. but another problem with it is that i dont eat right, i eat what i want and when i want.  Which leaves me eating a lot of junk food.

Recently i have been trying to change that and I am eating oatmeal for breakfast, oatmeal is very healthy and i like it,, but i cant eat much of it. Then i will wait until late to eat again and it not always healthy for me.  So i amworking on something that i will like so that i will eat it. If I like a food i can eat it forever, i don't require a lot of changes.
I do have an idea for a lunch or dinner meal, but its still in my head.  I have no idea what caused this change in my eating habits but i had never experienced before in my whole life.  Very strange  !

Has anyone else experienced this or anything close?

hugs, meg

Hi there.. I've had problem with my weight all my life...up and down...diet and not diet..I'm not yet Dx...so not sure what I have?... are you Dx yet?

I have notice the past 6 months...my appitite is not really there... I usually can go all day without missing food..just not hungry, but I do end up eating when I cook for my husband... so I'm not loosing much weight.. not gaining.. just don't have the appitite I used too..

I don't excercise at all...started stretching and small hand weights.. that's my limit so far.

take care

Hi Meg,

Boy, it must be nice!!! Losing weight without even trying?

I'm like wobbly I don't eat much during the day, but have a hard time not eating dinner with my hubby.  If I could put him on a diet maybe I could lose weight...hahaha

I haven't found any exercise I'm strong enough to do.  I want to check out tai chi, but just haven't done it yet.

Take care,
doni

I am not diagnosed yet, but I have to eat a sugar, soy, gluten, and dairy free diet.  All of those I am either allergic or intolerant to. I also dont eat legumes. With those foods, I gain weight, have insulin resistance, hypothyroid, break out in psoriasis, acne,  you name it.

I eat lean meat, fish, lots of fruits and veggies, good fat, very little whole grains like brown rice.

I also workout 6 days a week but its getting harder with the leg numbness and loss of vision in my left eye that gets worse when my body temp rises.

Lately, I have notice I am less hungry.  This evening I did high interval cardio which usually leaves me very hungry but I can probably go all night w/o eating.

I read there was a link to MS and food intolerance's (which I have) but I have to look more into it.

I lost mine too.  I dropped weight from not enough calories.  I never experienced this EVER.  Always had to watch about gaining, all my life.  Even when I dropped calories in the past, I still had a hard time losing.  I still don't eat a lot of calories because it makes me feel like cr ap. But I feel like cr ap sometimes if I dont' get enough either.  It's nuts.
