Disabled?

ive been trying to work part time even though my doctor tells me iam disabled and not to work anymore. yes iam finding out i cant really do it anymore as each day goes on.i gave them a note at work that iam disabled and why from the doctor.told them that iam not to be working anymore the doctor  said so. but the note dident say nothing about not working anymore on it. so now i have to get them a note saying iam not only disabled it haves to say a date when i have to stop working  my disease and my doctor to sign it. first can they do this to me? 2nd can they take my vacation pay from me for leaving because of me being considered disabled by my doctor? and . i talk to them at my doctors office and they give me my notes i need. they also keep telling me iam disabled that iam not to be working at all. getting a note today for work saying iam disabled and starting today i cant work anymore. can anyone help me through this. i just want to do right now whats right for my wife and myself . help please. thanks

Hi Lenny,
You have a lot to be thinking about with this - I see you have posted variations of this disabled question a few other times this week.  Unfortunately absolutely no one here can give you a certain answer as to what will happen.

There are two things that you need to do here to make sure you are taken care of -

1) find a disability attorney in your area to help navigate the system.  I believe almost everyone here eventually had to get an attorney to help with all the paperwork and make sure their request was approved.

2)  set an appointment with the human resources person with your company.   There should be work policies in place with your employer that will help you to understand your rights.  

Please don't assume that everything will be ok  with claiming disability - even with a note from your doctor you will find it takes a lot of work to be legally protected.
