Does MS usually start Unilateral or Bilateral?

Hi you great group of people!

Just curious... I'm a limbolander OF COURSE and was just wondering... Does MS typically present unilaterally or bilaterally?  My symptoms are much stronger on the right side and very mild or absent on the left.  SO.... Hmmmm.... Please advice

Like everybody said, unilateral symptoms seem to be typical. That said, my symptoms are pretty much symmetric and bilateral (left arm is worse than the right, but it's more a matter of degree than different symptoms, my legs are pretty equal and even the tingling and buzzing on my face and skull are bilateral) and I was eventually diagnosed with MS so it's possible to go the other way.

MY SYMPTOMS ARE UNILATERIAL,RIGHT SIDED,MOSTLY.

MY BRAIN STEM LESION HAS CAUSED SOME BILATERIAL SYMPTOMS IN SOME AREAS.

THE NORM IS ONR SIDED.

One sided presentation IS most characteristic of MS.  Most definitely.  There are those that present with problems on both sides.  But most will tell you that one side is worse than the other.  My right side is more affected, since I suppose it's due to the spinal lesion on the right hand side of my upper thoracic spine.
