Does anyone ever feel like this?

Does anyone ever feel like this?

Before I quit work and later obtained my MS diagnosis, I was "stashing" my projects room with "stuff", to have things to do when I eventually did retire and there was less money.  Like most, I had many plans.  Now that I cannot do some of the things that I stashed for, I have had to find homes for this stuff.

Of course, now I am afraid to stash for anything else, for fear that I will be unable to do those things later on.  I think it has left me a bit bitter and also depressed, although I don't feel depressed.  More like, why bother...

Anyone else ever feel this way?  Just wondered....

Yes! But, I don't think it's necessarily something one experiences solely due to an unpredicted condition such as this dang disease.

My advice is to not get down on yourself because you can't work with those things you stashed. Rather, take one box at a time, mark it with what's in it, and eventually ask the family if they want to have a yard sale if you find you need to just get rid of it.

And, I also feel like Dina does here, don't get rid of everything right now because your energy may return to you - - but it may be very much different that you initially planned back when things were good. This too is ok :)

Oh, yes! I know exactly how you feel. I have been at home for several months, unable to work, trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I enjoyed making and doing all sorts of things. Now, I don't have any desire to do a lot of them. They either are too difficult now or don't hold my interest. It's no fun. My advice is don't get rid of everything, you never know what the future will bring and what you may feel like doing. There is always hope!!
