Driving turns me into a twitching machine

Had a good day yesterday - rode horses for a couple hours and kind of over did it but enjoyed every minute.  So today I am driving and I normally rest my right arm on the arm rest while I'm steering with that arm.  Well, today it kept jerking in towards my body so that I had to drive with my other arm because I was afraid I would yank the steering wheel a little too hard.  If I tried to stop it my left leg would twitch, then my arm would do it immediately after.  Then my shoulders would do a little rocking back & forth thing really quick.  It's like I'd try to stop one thing and something else would happen.  I've had plenty of twitching but this is new and bothersome because it affected my driving a little.  I don't twitch if I'm moving around, it just happens when I'm relaxed mostly.  I twitch a lot sitting at the computer and when I go to bed.  I don't know what's causing this.  I'm not on any medications.  I've also had a lot more tingling in my face, hands and feet lately.  I wish I knew what is going on.

I have that jerky feeling, too.  Yesterday as I was just doing my stuff I felt like all my movements were more jerky and I felt kind of trembly I guess is how I'd say it.  It hasn't really happened to me today at all.  It's like it all just shut off for the day.  It doesn't really bother me too bad but it sure does make me wonder why it's happening.  Thanks for your kind words!

I don't really have the jerking or twitching, but when I'm relaxed I do sometimes start shaking pretty bad.  Kind of like SandPuff, if I'm doing something I don't do it, just when I'm still.

It may be the same thing as twitching but I call it shaking.  Anyway, I hope you can find something to help you so it wont bother your driving.

I'll be praying,
Carol

Hi Sandpuff,

I sure don't know what causes it.  I don't get it exactly like you say here, but what I do get are those feelings and symptoms that my reactions aren't to be trusted.  Have to really think hard and pay x-tra  attention to my reactions.  Later on in the day it's worse.  Driving is a chore for me now, and I've always loved to be the driver, not a passenger.  Additionally, it's like a nervouse and jerky feeling for me.  I'm not sure if it's all related to the MS, but what I do know for sure is, I never had it before it reared it's ugly head early this year.  So, that said, I think I just responded to my own comments. . . lol

If you are seeing a Dr., and aren't on any meds, talk to him or her about it.  See what they say. Maybe there is something that you can get or do to help.  Maybe some others have some experiences to share too. . ..
Hope you get out of of limbo soon,

SL
