EMG testing is all done.

You will remember that I posted a couple of weeks ago when I was so upset about missing my EMG appointment that I had waited  two months for.  Well on Sept. 15th I had the EMG test done.  The doctor said that everything looked good with my legs and arms.  The doctor said that he wanted to do further testing on my face.  Yesterday, Sept. 22nd, I had the single fiber EMG done.  It was a little uncomfortable but not bad really. The doctor tested my arm and above my eye.  He did not comment and when I asked for the results he said that he would have to analyze the results.  I was under the impression that the results are known immediately.  Does anyone know about the single fiber EMG and how the results work?  My neurologist is not telling me anything.  I don't see the neurologist for another month.  Alot of attention seems to be being put on my droopy eyelid, although I have numbness and weakness throughout my body.

When I had my EMG, the doc told me about it right away...Wow. How frustrating for you.

I've had 3 EMG's performed of the mucles on my arms, leg, and back muscles.  For two out of the three EMG's the neurologist who performed the test told me right away that they appeared normal.  The third EMG I had done the doctor wanted to analyze the data first but it only took him about 6 days to get the report finished and forwarded to my neurologist.  I suggest that you call your doctor's office in about a week and ask what the EMG results were they should be able to tell you over the phone.  Good luck to you and I hope everything turns out okay for you.

I had an emg done in June and my neurologist, who conducted the test himself, told me the results right away.  I've learned from having these tests that there is nothing wrong with asking about the results after its over.  All the doctor or technician can say is that you'll get the report later or they will give you an answer.  I hope you get your answers soon.

Yep,  I found out right at the appointment that all was normal,  he actually offered the info without my having to ask.

Maybe you should call tomorrow and ask for some answers.

I got my results at the appt...right as she was doing them, actually. All normal.
