Education hosptial? Better?

Education hosptial? Better?

Hey I have heard some mention that getting a physcian through a education hospital is better and that they have better equipment?  Is this true??  I live in OKC and was wondering if seeing a neuro from OU medical hospital would be a better choice??
  Thanks,
  skarey

I don't know anything about that. If you don't like your current neuro, try calling the MS Society and find one in your area that specializes in MS. 1-800-344-4867. Not sure if you are unhappy with current neuro or not. Karina

I do think that teaching hospitals can sometimes provide better care than maybe a local neurologist. They have equipment and other resources that many other places do not.

Plus, if they feel your symptoms need to be looked out by a doctor in another area they can refer you over. At times it can be like a team approach.

I honestly believe that sometimes finding a good neuro is like flipping a coin. Even ones with a reputation of being the best can sometimes be really disappointing.

Good luck!
