Evoked potentials ?

I recently had an evoked potentials test after being diagnosed with a Neurogenic bladder. The doc's are looking at possible MS. I have not gotten the reults yet.

My question is that during the sensory portion of the test on my lower limbs, I experienced an episode of incontinence. Is this see in MS patients or patients with Neurogenic bladder or is it just a coincidence. I am on medication for teh bladder issue and have not had any incontinence  in months until this test. Any info would be welcome.

Hi, Welcome to the forum.  I actually don't know the answer to your question.  I have not heard of that happening during SSEP's.  However, I can certainly imagine that the small current they used inadvertently stimulated the bladder and caused this reaction.  So, I would suspect that it was not a coincidence but a an unintended (and interesting, albeit embarrassing) consequence if the test.  It doesn't tell us any more about the possibility of MS.  Do you mind sharing the results of your other tests and telling us about your symptoms?  Answers are often in the details.
