FINALLY GETTING SOMEWHERE

Hi everyone..........just wanted to update. Saw my new neuro to day. This is the second time I see him. I had all sorts of tests done all last week. Ruled out stroke, and many other things. I had the EMG done today. Doctor says partial paralysis in left leg. Has not ruled out MS. I am having another MRI done on Friday, this time of the spine. My neck glands swell, my left eye HURTS, I get tingling on my head (left sided only). Along with all the other symptoms!! He said could be something around C3 or C4.
I am just very thankful that finally this doctor is listening and is concerned. He is also determined to get to the bottom of this!
So for all those limbolanders like me..........HANG IN THERE!!!!
Hope everyone has a great week.

xoxo Beth

Ok so I wake up this mornig and can barely move my left leg! Not only that, but it hurts!
What the heck............I have been sitting in the recliner with it propped up, but not helping. Neck pain gave me a headache.........think I'm gonna go rest.

Blessings to all,
Beth

Thank you all for your support! I have been dealing with this in one way or another since 2001. This time it was just too much to ignore. This is actually the 4th neuro I have dealt with over the years. I cant say enough about him. I am just so happy to have someone not say "depression", or "stress", or "you need to seek theraphy". I really thought I was going crazy. I know many of you completely uderstand!! My prayer for each person here is to be blessed with a good doctor that will care for you.
My husband said you dont seem to be upset about the partial paralisis.......I said are you kidding me.......I knew something was wrong, I just needed someone to tell me what it is.! Although, I think the paral. is temp. (could be wrong) but we are addressing it.
Slightlybroken.........I am having a spinal MRI friday to hopefully find out why swelling in neck. You can literally see me swell within 20-30 mins. My eye droops, my neck swells, and tingling in my face, as well as ear pain. Stroke has been ruled out. I was in such a panic everytime this happened, because I thought for sure it was a stroke. I even started sleeping right up against my husband for comfort. He told me this morning......"woman, when you have a hot flash in your sleep it wakes ME up!!" LOL
The partial paral. is not extremely bad, I just move slower..........alot slower

Thanks for all the support and love
Beth

It isn't good news that you are having such problems, but what is good news is that apparently this doctor is listening.  He is going to get to the bottom of what is causing your symptoms.  From what I have read on this Forum this week, not many people are getting the answers they seek.

This is so frustrating for so many.  Tests upon more tests.  Let's hope your upcoming testing tells them exactly what they need to know to get you treated.

Chin up girlfriend.  We are with you every step of the way.  That's a promise.

Good to here someone is getting somewhere. I wish you lots of luck.

Have the doctors ever address the neck glands that swell? Do you know if they are lymph or salivary? Just wondering.
