Facial numbness and CONSTANT twitch under eye

Ok....rewind 44 days ago. I was at work when I noticed numbness in my face and neck. My face felt as if it had been injected with lidocaine. I became very confused and my speech was a little slurred, eyesight blurred.Had hard time trying to communicate verbally. Left side became weak. Let's just say I definitely did not feel right at all. I was at work. Behind a desk....I almost decided on an ER visit, but changed my mind as it eventually passed. I realized I probably should have went, but since my income is based solely upon myself, I really can't afford to miss work. Anyway, the facial numbness subsided, speech cleared, my mind was still foggy....found it very hard to concentrate, but I felt it would go away. Leading up to this day, I have noticed frequent facial numbness, predominately on left side, and have noticed a few other problems in past, say....5 months. Later on this same afternoon, the muscle directly under my left eye started twitching....constant..and hard...almost as if it twitches at every beat of my heart. After a week of CONSTANT eye twitch, I decided to make appointment with internal dr in december, who didn't feel it was bells palsy, but suspected other possible problems and concerns. He decided to put me on Innopran --a beta blocker, in hopes of slowing my adrenaline down. Performed cbc and other bloodwork, which all came back normal, with the exception of my good cholesterol -- 28.  He recommended head and neck MRI. Unfortunately, hospital wanted $750, which I could not afford. So, I called dr for referral to neurologist at state hospital. I finally received appointment to neurologist...in July. I still have frequent spells of facial numbness, poor concentration, slurred speech brief periods, my eyesight is not quite right, had headache for a week, along with  CONSTANT twitch under my eye -- 43 days and counting. It even twitches constant in my sleep. Should I wait on July appt or go ER? Any advise grealty appreciated.

I suggest going to an ER when your symptoms seem to get worse.  That way they can rule out a stroke.
