Fell twice over the weekend and question about Evoked potentials

Hello everyone

Over the weekend I fell twice. I had no idea that my legs were not doing what my brain was telling them, until I hit the ground. The second time I was standing inside the back of my van (one seat is removed so I have a large space in there) and the one leg literally gave way without my knowing and I fell clean out of the van onto driveway rocks. Does this happen to all of you?

Tomorrow I have my Evoked potentials test. The last time I had eye problems was about 3 years ago. If there were problems, would they still show up on the test?

thank you

I hope you were not hurt when you fell and yes, this has happened  to me.A few years back I fell down a flight of stairs, and down the front steps. It was as if the legs disassociated themselves from the brain.

Now my right leg will give way,but its braced so I don't fall.

It an awful and embarrassing situation when this happens as we have no answers as to why.

For the vep,IF it was ON and the damage was extensive to the optical nerves then yes,it can have the possibility to appear on the vep.I had On in 1998 and mild eye problems off and on,when I had my vep in 2005 the vep was abnormal for the right eye.

Hope this helps some

Good luck on your vep...I had a bout of ON several years ago, but it must not have been too damaging, as my vep was normal.  Not sure if this is typical or not.  Keep us posted!

I am still behind!! Dagnabit!!  The VEP certainly can show damage from 3 years ago.  This business about falling out of vans is unacceptable.  You are not to do it again!

Tell us how it all went today.  I promise to be caught up by the weekend.  Quix
