Fingers and Palm Wrinkled

This may seem like a wierd question. But are anyones hands, palm side, really wrinkled? The palm of my hands and finger tips are very wrinkled.....looks like I have soaked them for hours in water. You can see deep lines on them.

Anyone have any ideas?

The backs of my hands look far worse than the palms do.  Since my last flair in October 2011 it looks like I have the hands of a 90 year old woman.  I thought it was just me!!

I have never seen this discussed before but my hands are dry and wrinkled and my fingers tear and bleed at times and I live with bandaids on my finger tips. And my palms itch and my palms are always red.

My arms are like tissue paper as if I am 80 years old...it is nice to know others share this problem with us.  I just use a lot of lotion...try O'Keefes Working Hands, its the best I have tried.

I have the same problem right before and during a ms relapse. I'm 26 but my hands make me look like I'm 80. It usually goes away once I'm starting to feel better! And my Husband thought I was crazy!

Mine are a little like that to but I never gave it much thought until now because I have always had eczema and I just figured it was related to that.

I definitely have old lady hands now.  My palms are all wrinkled!  Lotion helps, but then it just looks like Grandma put on some lotion.

My left hand is constantly itching and I dig at it until it cuts open and bleeds. My fingertips also look alittle "pruned" as if they were in water all day.

Yes it really is. I have tried all kinds of lotions etc. Has made no difference.

I know it's the strangest thing.  This particular symptom has been steady and never changed, it doesn't respond to anything I have tried.

I use surgical gloves or kitchen gloves when working.  It can become painful when the skin tears, sometimes I end up with bandaids on my fingertips---it's so wierd.  I don't have problems with my arms.  

I don't know of any treatment.  Hopefully, someone more knowledgable will chime in.

Red, I just noticed your reply. I know my skin on hands and arms has become very fragile and.tears easily. Is there a treatment for.this?

Yes I have noticed the same thing lately. I know I am.well hydrated and am.wondering what has caused it too. Hope we get some.answers from some of the wise people here.

Yes, the skin on my hands changed when my symptoms began.  

My fingers and palms are wrinkled like you said and the skin itself is fragile.  They call it 'rice paper skin'.  My skin sloughs off when I do any kind of work and my fingernails are pitted.  

These things are all part of the autoimmune disease process.  This is considered a more 'rare' occurence.  Rheumatologists would use the word 'polyarticular' to include it with a diagnosis.
