I do think the Baclofen is working, although my neck muscles on the right side are still cramping. I have that feeling in my chest of tight muscles, but I'm not getting the chest cramp. Of course, that's not very scientific - maybe it just wasn't going to cramp today!
I hope you start feeling better soon!

Oh I hope you are titrating the dose by now!
I'm surprised you are getting results so quickly, it usually takes time for baclofen to build up and actually work.
As a side affect, I was super tired in the a.m. for a few months. But I was titrating to 30 mgs. I did not need more than 30.
If 10 is holding you well, then just keep cracking them 1/2 and take one in a.m. and one in p.m.
Also, you may do well w/the 10 before bed. When I titrated down from 30ms, I did (1) 10 mg for a long time and it did me right.
ttys,
shell
I take 20 mg 3x/day, and there are still many instances where my hands spasm while I'm doing a scan (echocardiography), and my legs, ribs, hip adductors, etc. spasm day or night. I asked about going up to 80, and both my general neuro and the MS neuro discouraged me because as well as weakness, it can cause you to be drowsy (just what we need! LOL). I may try 0.5 mg of Klonopin at bedtime.
I hope so! I was already having leg weakness though, in varying degrees of suckage.
What if I don't need more than 10 mg a day? Hmmm... should ask the neuro.
For your leg weakness question, it occurs to me that is why the baclofen is gradually introduced so your body adjusts to its ability to *relax* the muscles. If you take too much baclofen you would be unable to stand. That may be the effect you are feeling with the leg weakness until your body gets used to this new med.
Simulpost! You've answered my question, though - it looks like I can take one pill in the morning, one pill in the evening. Or break it in half and take 1/2 in the morning and one in the evening.
Yup, that's what he said - take 10 mg, and if I can tolerate it, go up to 20, and if I tolerate that, go up to 30... and so on.
I don't have my piece of paper right now - Lulu, do you think he means take two pills, but not at the same time?
I'm wondering if I need more than 10 - the hug seems to have subsided, but I'm getting these killer neck cramps when I try to swallow. Probably residual from yesterday.
Surprisingly I found the post pretty quick - here it is and this is just to get to 30mg....

these are 10mg tablets
Days 1-3, take 1/2 tablet at bedtime
Days 4-6, take 1/2 tablet in the morning and 1/2 tab at bedtime
Days 7-9, take 1/2 tablet in the morning, 1/2 mid-day and 1/2 at bedtime
Days 10-12, 1/2 tab in the morning, 1/2 mid day and 1full tab at bedtime
Days 13-15, 1 full tab in morning, 1/2 mid-day, 1 full tab at bedtime
Days 16-18, 1 full tab morning, noon and night to bring me to a full 30mg dose
Day 18 I have to call him and give a full report.
Did your doctor give instructions on titrating the dosage? It took me about 21 days, if I remember right, to go from zero to 60 mg.
You might want to check the side effects of adding them in too fast.....
