For all the Canadians

Has anyone who lives in Canada been prescribed Sativex, the cannabis based med?  My reading shows that it is really good for numbness.  Of course, can't get it here in the states.  Worried we might all become junkies!

I have also heard wonderful things Sativex... Alas ...only  available in  Canada and the UK ... It was discussed on a webinar I attended last week and the neurologist mentioned that Sativex would in be human trials here due to FDA regulations...which would take years to complete ...then only available in the states that have medical marjuana

He also mentioned f you are lucky enough to be living in a medically legal state... Marinol is looking promising with helping with spasticity...

No personal experience with it.  I have a close friend who is HIV+ and I thought he had tried something like this, but from what have I read, it has been approved in Canada for MS symptoms only.  I will ask him and let you know if I learn anything about it.

I've actually heard that Sativex tastes gross, isn't terribly effective, and is expensive.

Apparently cannabis "au natural" is much more effective.

I don't know, it's just what I have heard.
