Friendship - *off topic totally!* :-)

I had to share this one that was in my email today - I hope it makes you smile...


'Sis'-sy Stuff

Are you tired of those sissy 'friendship' poems that always sound good,
but never actually come close to reality?
Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of True Friendship.

You  WON 'T see   cutesy little smiley faces on this card-
Just the stone cold truth of our great friendship.

1. When you are sad, I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spider monkey jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!
2. When you are blue, I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile, I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
4. When you're scared, we will high tail it out of here.
5. When you are worried, I will tell you horrible stories about how much w orse  it could be until you
quit whining, ya big baby!!!!
6. When you are confused, I will use little words.
7. When you are sick, Stay away from me until you are well again.
I don't want whatever you have.
8. When you fall, I'll pick you up and dust you off--  After I laugh my butt off!!
9. This is my oath... I pledge it to the end.
'Why?' you may ask;  -- because you are my FRIEND!

That really describes a friend I used to have and lost contact with.  It is a blessing to have a friendship like that even if it only happens once in our lifetime.  Thanks for sharing it with us Laura.

SceneQueeny, I am surprised to see this very old post pulled up - I reread it and had to laugh again.  Of course I had forgotten everything in it!  

I posted this while I was going through testing for MS - it was about 3 weeks before I was dxd.  

We have to ifnd some things to laugh at or we would drive ourselves crazy.

  Thanks for the laugh and the smile. This poem fits my sister who happens to be my best friend too. I am blessed and this reminded me of that too.

P.S. I guess I didn't realize that you have only been official for less than 2 years! Wow
       you have always felt like a veteran in this battle with me!

Thanks for the compliment, Erin.  I really am still a newbie at this.  That's why I have Quix and Ess and Shell looking over my shoulder to make sure I'm not misstepping.  

Two years with this does feel like a lifetime to me.
