OK, I guess I can assume this is part of the MS. So the numbness can make you weak? I guess I'll have to be careful. Between this, the balance issues, and spasticity, walking is becoming ever more challenging.
But at least my fatigue has been manageable! (Yes, I am one of those annoying people who wear rose-colored glasses.)
I seriously can't wait to see the MS neurologist. 13 days.
I also get this in bed or if lying on the couch..........so shifting often helps but not always, sometimes it just is destined to happen! Sometimes I have to stand still for a few minutes when I get up to make sure the legs will hold me.
I have recently found that after changing positions--such as straightening up after bending over, getting up from a chair or sitting down in one--after a minute or two the outside of both thighs turns distinctly cold-feeling. I often get (unprovoked) cold sensations on my lower left shin, but this new twist is very odd!

Yes, this was my very first MS symptom. Be careful getting up from chairs. I sometimes don't feel my legs underneath me and get going to fast. I've come close to falling several times. My legs go numb and tingle now the majority of the day. This can be a symptom of circulatory problems, but it can be MS, too. The signal is slower with MS and when the nerve to a leg is compressed--it's even slower.
You may have to find yourself a nice comfy chair for reading time with the kiddos, or you may be calling for a co-worker to come and help you off the floor!
