Good Resource- Neuro Exam

There's been a link posted before from NYU School of Medicine's "The Precise Neurological Exam." which is a good resource.

I found another site today, which goes into even more detail, along with videos and explanation of normal and abnormal results. I also liked that they were very clear in making the difference between technical terms, so that I fully understood the difference between hyperreflexia and clonus. It was also helpful in correlating test results to part of the CNS, as well as the interrelationship of tests.

The source is Professional Health Systems with the link provided below:

Hope people find this helpful...I know that I did.

They mention in this article kudos to another doctor whose work is really excellent - and is available on line

This is a medical student's course - be forewarned that if you click on the DaVinci icons, you will see the gross anatomy lab photos (think dissection) - you can read the text without the pictures if they bother you.

I was so touched by Dr. Goldberg's "A Few Thoughts" at the end of this unit that I wrote to thank him for trying to shape doctors who will work with us patients.  Take a few minutes to read his admonishment to his students and I think you will see what I mean - there are still good doctors out there!
