Granny Hot Wheels

Hi Carol,

Just read your post on Heather's emotions thread.

I'm sittin here crying now, and wish I was there with you.  I would have swept and mopped that floor for you.  I would also have got you out in that yard and held you up long enough for you to wiggle those cute little spasing toes in the grass!

Some really stupid things are happening in my life right now and I go from anger to poor me syndrome, about 900 times a day.  Today is my crying day, but today it is for you.

You are such a special lady and one I am proud to call my friend.  I don't know what to advise you about your loving family.  I know they love you, as I know my family loves me.  My hubby and kids are the same as yours.  My kids aren't living with us, but mom is always suppose to have food cooked for them to eat or at least take home with them.  And of course they leave their messes for me to clean up!  When they come in and the house is a mess, they look at me like I've done something wrong.

I'll tell you how I have been dealing with all my loved ones.  I do what I can, when I can, I try not to overdue myself - cause when I do, like you, I pay for it in spades.  I ignore their messes!  If you are like me you can only stand a messy house for so long, but try to let it go as long as possible, just to see what will happen.

Last week I was having lots of trouble with fatigue and was having to work on paperwork for hubby.  He would come in expecting food cooked plus all the other things I was doing for him.  Well, I kinda got a little po'ed, so for the rest of the week(wed, thurs, fri) I didn't cook, didn't put the dishes in the dishwasher, didn't wash clothes, vacuum, dust.  Actually I sat on my fat hinny and read a book.

I heard him up yesterday morning, so I fained sleep.  He cleaned the kitchen, picked up his dirty clothes (thank God he didn't try to wash any!...ha..ha), cleaned the floor and made my coffee so it would be ready when I got up.

I never said a word to him about how mad I was about the duties I seem to be assigned.  I think he got the message, though.  Don't know if this would work for you, but you could give it a try.

Most of all I want you to know I think you are the greatest!  Many times I have come on this forum ready to just throw my hands up and give up.  But there was always this person who would make me laugh or say something to raise my spirits.  That person was you, Carol!

I am always here, as I know everyone else is, when you need me.

Love & Hugs
